Pallade Musica Performs Lully and Telemann

Monday at 10 pm the Montreal early music ensemble Pallade Musica kicks off this season of Concerts from The Frick Collection with a program of French Baroque selections. These works by Lully, Telemann and Guignon represent some of the first piece of music that were performed for concertgoers outside of a royal court or church.

WQXR's Elliott Forrest hosts the program with commentary from the performers. Pallade Musica includes violinist Tanya LaPerrière, cellist Elinor Frey, theorbo player Esteban La Rotta and harpsichordist Mélisanda McNabney. Guest artist Anne Thivierge, who plays the transverse flute, also joins the ensemble.
